I was quite excitied when i found this site, I assumed by south-east to meant like...Suffolk, Essex, Kent, East Sussex...or something.

But High Wycome is a good 3 hour drive from where I live is suffolk so I don't think I'd bother for a 2 day event ...

We had some good LAN parties in Colchester going on at the University of Essex, but the last big one, 80 people and 5 full days long, got cut short by campus security over a petty dispute about a locked fire escape (caused uproar)...

So I'm looking for somewhere else to maybe go...

There used to be some events organised in the old Nuclear Bunker at Kelvedon Hatch, Essex, but the old websites for past years events don't work anymore and I can't find who's organising them these days.

Does anyone know any details of other regular LAN events a bit further to the East ? Essex/Suffolk area preferably ?

Quite a few LAN events have gone pop over the last year or so - I can think of 5 that come to mind.

I suggest you look @

www.uklans.com (or .co.uk - can't remember)

and

www.lanparty.com

Suffolk isn't a 3 hour drive!

2 hours at most:

Hmm, google maps reckoned 2hours 47 mins. I suppose it realistically might be a little under 2.5 hours.

pffft, if you think my box is nice, some of the things at the last LAN I went to would make you cry.

The number of people with 28" Widescreen TFTs is ridiculous...

Yes, I am considering coming !

Trying to see if any of the folks from the University of Essex want to come, I could just turn up on my own but it would be better if we could come as a group of 4-10...
