I miss Kerr :P

But seriously, the CS:S was good, the COD2 was amazing, far too much Q3 for my liking (2 games) missed zombie and BF2 due to patching and absence but meh.

Look forward to the next one, and spray 5punk over some more walls soon

I found myself playing a lot of wow and watching some comedy for the want of somehting better to do tbh.

There were no-where near enough regulars. The larger games were against 5punk and after a while (of very enjoyable play) about 80% would just leave, which instantly brings the game to it's knees.

After each bout of that there was a prolonged space of nothingness, no-one wanted to play any RTS at night, i had to beat Monopoly Tycoon into the regulars Friday night (which i think they enjoyed :P)

Room for improvement tbh.

On the plus side, i really enjoyed my little sleeping space ;)

Heat :(
Someone turned off the radiator behind you - all the others were on full pelt for the whole weekend.

FYI - Low tempreatures does not give you a cold / flu - they are a viral infection which are passed from person to person. Extreme low temps over a long period of time (which this certainly wasn't) can lower immune system which can lead you to being more suceptable to catching colds & flu :) & having flu, your internal thremometer would be out of wack - and you will feel cold when it isn't.

Q4 no  :( didn't run this, I need to spend some time gettinng it easy to run. We did have it semi-set up and could have run it easily enough.

AoE - P2P game - out of my controll I'm afraid.

I missed Kerr too....

me too

worst LANSE I have been too in a long time.

Other than q4, what should I have done differently?

with regards to lack all in games:

I expect we would come back on the proviso that we are able to setup our own games when we want, and not feel pressured into playing others.

I think Blueys points are valid in that as there were so many non-regulars the games / schedule was controlled by them. And there were BIG gaps betwen games.

I think the problem was down to a lack of communication from all parties.

For most of those guys it was their first time and probabily didn't know how to go about getting a game they wanted going.

I'm sure if we go again, we'll have a better was of commicating stuff.

One of their guys suggested doing a rough schedual - with time allocated in for RTS's.

What are your thoughts on that?

As for lack of communication, maybe we should have spotted it was "falling apart" and Jason should have been more proactive as the host and setup a schedule on the day.

Schedules are always good, nothing too strict, just the main games (CS, BF2, COD2, Quake4) with dates + times, then a 10 minute warning b4 each one starts.

I had explicit requests prior to the event not to do a schedual from 5punk.

how would you recommend doing about attracting regurlars / keeping them regurlar?

Perhaps it's just the time of year - Dec is always bad news- typically Spring / Autumn are better times

Dave we talked about giving LANSE a facelift - what do you think about that / is it still viable??

Notice and listening to what people want to begin with well in advance, generate interest early. Need to work at it to get teh regulars in. It's good that you've got the next load of dates up so early, gives you a lot to work with :)

I can certainly book them in with the missus

lets talk tonight, and if spunk gave you an explicit request prior to the event not to do a schedual, then fair enough.
