Thanks to everyone for a great LAN :)

Much fun in zombie CS and assault..

Cringe at the point when the PSU went critical threatening to infect us all with no internet horror!

Marvel at steve, the drunken man!

Giggle at Frog and Roo arguing about DotA!

Gorge on the breakfast from the Wendovers!

T'was a good LAN.

I think most people play stuff most of the time.

There was one or two instances of "stop watching a film & play games dammit", but on the whole everyone mucked in.

Thanks to the person who did the washing up & to the people who helped tidy up at the end -  it was appreciated.

The Honesty box was a little down this weekend - if you are paying for it via bacs can you let me know how much.

I must be getting old - I'm knackered today. How Dave went without sleep on the Saturday -> Sunday I don't know.

I'm looking forward to the IOLAN - should be fun.

Very good lan, was nice to be back, a little too much dota for me but the games I did play were pretty sweet.
Need to find a bed for the next one, camp beds aren't made for the husky individuals, plus when Dave came to share with me it was totally cramped :(
A little distrubed by the image of jesoes el saviour on Dave's desktop but we all have to work through it together.
I enjoyed cs, even though I suck at it, lookign forward to the iolan, maybe we can play some q3 ? or some ut2k4 ?
Anyways thank you very much to Jason for putting up with us. And I owe you
Aah at last a self portrait that depicts who I am, where I'm from, and my passing interest in falconry

Was a great lan, loads of games I loved.  Shame I missed this image of "jesoes el saviour" on Cosmos PC, can he post it on the forum?

I enjoyed that LAN like all the others, even though i managed to get one game of DotA in on Sunday given that i had to go to work.

It was fun, but again, there was a problem with the numbers particularly relating to RTS games. Since we only had a small amount of people, we would try to get an FPS game going (might have been ok if EVERYONE was in) but there was generally one game of RTS up all the time so we could never get a really big game going, saw this happen a few times with BF2 so we had 3v3 ... not very good.

Wendovers was spot on as per usual, although i wouldn't mind seeing the return of Tony at the ionly if we've got enough people, and a proper meal out, although the deal you managed to wangle on the pizza was very good Jase.

All in all, not a bad LAN but i'm sincerely looking forward to the ionly, hopefully this will fill with people and we'll have a return to big all-in FPS games, lots of laughs, RTS after dark and the big trip to Frankies/Curry Centre.

Cheers.

The DotA was fun and Frog and Roo arguing all the time was funny, and Poomun going "oh my god i'm going to die, i don't know why i bother" and then is the first one to say "another game of DotA?" :P

i was looking forward to a game of CoD for once :(

I don't really, the lan was the first time i've played him, but generally stygian, it's what i see EVERYONE go for online, and it's also what i went for at the lan ended in good results. He is vulnerable to being stunned late game, from my memory i went stygian and then butterfly for even more omg attack speed and evaision. By the end of the game i had just bought a burize, he is potentially the most damaging hero in the entire game.

The only way to kill him late game is stunning, so an interesting tactic ive just thought of, black king bar will make you unstoppable.

eye will work well if u are getting stunned, for more health (his stats are great for an agi) plus it works with stygian to slow. he's an easy hero to play
