Been a long time since I have been to LANSE.  And if possible I like to play the following:

Quake3 - perhaps some vanilla/OSP CTF or Arena for a change.
BFVietnam
BF1942
COD
CS:S
BF2
UT2004
Never played FarCry or DOTA but up for it.

Just my thoughts

Well worth getting as Jason suggested steve because Half Life 2 is an incredibly good game.

We have got to play some CoD, after playing it with some mates tonight i realised it's actually fantastic.

Try rifles only on mp_hurtgen, a snowy map with lots of bushes/rocks/trees to hide behind etc.

ah, but, you turn off the sniper rifles, i think there is a mod that only allows rifles, it's fantastic.

There is one server that just runs this map with rifles only, it's fantastic.
