Great LAN!

Good to get everyone in to a game of far cry!

Badside was getting killed way too many times in CS:S.

Blame that sh!tcock sencerd for that :P

Farcry was excellent (if a little limited on maps) the single player lovelyness will keep me playing it for a while :)

Dota was complete hax on the luna and rhasta side of things, though i've finally got keeper of the light into the realms of "HOLY SHIT!"

UT2004 was left to late to get enough players and that alien swarm map was crap.

Can't say much about quake as i loathe the game tbh.

DC was good on stalingrad away from all the helis :)

Flatout was a laff on destruction, and could never las more than 2 laps in the lead on the circuits :(

Curry centre was good as always, and the 3 new guys were hilarious (sorry i'm crap with names)

On a whole it was a cosy lan although somewhat lacking on regulars

*me glares at slack fops*

Been looking for more maps.. have found loads online.. so next time we should have a bigger range. As we only played 2 different maps there.

ez fellas,

had a real good time apart from the obvious trip to wycombes police cells!!!
as posted, some good fun was had in fc2,
good LAN team fragging fun,
and easy to pick up if youve never played before.

i got home on sunday tho to find my brand new freshly installed op sys,
and 2 day old 64 shuttle system was absolutely riddled with trojans and bots. i have spent 6 days trying to find out why essential operating systems were hanging/not responding and IE6 was working slower than a 28k modem, before i realised i was infected with virus's. BT told me it was service pack 2's fault, and the modem wasnt compatable, which left me even more wide open to infection seeing i had turned off the nf4 firewall, and now sp2's firewall was off too.

i eventually after 3 formats managed to set up 2 rigs top gain access to the net, download 30 odd progs to detect/remove and clean my rig, but after finding "hijackthis" software and analysis tool, and their forums, i realised the full extent of the virus's i had

hijackthis is a good bit of kit,
and their site says
"never format ur disk, come to us, we will sort it"
but when the admin joins the thread and tells you in big red letters,
to format ur machine and keep away from networks,
thats exactly what i did

i dont know where i pikked up those virus's,
i had no firewall at the LAN at all,
and did briefly connect to the internet at home aswell,
but boooy,
a lesson learnt......

so if ya want some progs for detection and removal of virus's
I'm da man.

see ya at the next one!!!!

I know nothing, tell me more. :)

BTW for those interested, my boy had a virus which in turn made him come out in a rash (looked like meningitis and the rash would not dissapear under a glass, got us into the quarrentine area very quickly), it was said to be a reaction from the antibiotics we had to give him from an ear infection the w/e before. As i type this now the rash has almost compleatly gone and he is playing with his toys downstairs with mum.
