even tho i loved it, and would play it as much again, there was too much DOTA, no UT or generals and too much ppl playing online games :|

Maybe limit DOTA to evening (might not be a problem if we play LOTR + Generals) and block all but web and email ports in the day.

All this might not have been a problem tho if there had been more ppl.

All this said, was still bloody good fun ;)

Not the best LAN i've been to, but that's down to me rather than the LAN itself.

Lots of DotA, which was great fun, although perhaps a tad too much. I could see that the guys who dont come often were possibly getting a bit annoyed, quite often i was hearing:

"What's everyone playing ?"
"Warcraft 3"
"What ... again ?"

"Any games going on ?"
"Warcraft 3"
"Oh ... i dont have that installed, how long does it take to play ?"
"About an hout"
"Oh"

So perhaps easing up on the DotA next time would be a good idea. And like Dave said, seemed like some people spent most of the time playing EVE Online (mentioning no names), which is fair enough, but perhaps save it for the later hours (as per Daves suggestion).

Good LAN, nice to see Little Dave there, but i found it a bit annoying that we didn't play many of the regular games, like Threewave, Call of Duty, Medal of Honour or UT.

All in all, a fairly enjoyable LAN, although i'm sure i would have enjoyed it more if we had played more of the usual games, i hadn't of had any machine troubles, wasn't on this bastard diet and had felt alot better (picked up a real nasty cold at some point, felt terrible after Saturday afternoon).

i gotta say, i think i enjoyed this the least of any lan iv been to, sorry :(

just too much warcraft/dota... made everything far too fragmented...

dont get me wrong, there were some blinding games of CS / Quake / '42, just not enough other games...

yeh I had that too, all saturday I had a streaming nose, apologies to hawk/blade/pheonix/judas for all the nose blowing and sniffing :P
then saturday night it just went, i must have literally passed it onto you :/ (stfu sushi, before you even start)

CSS was superb, kerrs lanse map was great, played dota for the first time and loved it, finally got battle for middle earth to work and have been attempting to play it ever since (its ingame gui is very poorly designed imo)

I was a bit annoyed I had to leave at the crack of dawn on sunday, but duty calls, not that working frozen turkeys and chips isnt as much fun as gaming or anything though.......

all-in-all not the greatest LAN ever, but dota and css were brill

Well hate to say this chaps - but glad I couldn't make it. Don't have Frozen throne so can't play DOTA, never have played DOTA and have no real wish to play DOTA.

Much prefer FPS games at Lan's with RTS games taking a few of the small hours up.

FPS games get more involvement wheareas RTS games tend to have max 8 player settings or somthing similar. Not good at Lans as it means you have to have two or three games going at the same time to get everyone onvolved. FPS games tend to be more all in and get everyone involved as opposed to mini groups doing there own thing.

Save the DOTA, Generals, Warcraft, Starcraft, etc till late hours and few people. Keep UT, MOH, 42, Vietnam for the main stint.

PS played Farcry multiplayer at an old G24x7 get together and it was great fun. Why have we not introduced this at Lanse?

Anyway all of above is IMO and I'm entitled to it

all in all i thought this was a good lan,

wendovers was spot on as ever for the brekkie! eat so much on saturday morn and could keep up on sunday morn lol

alothough the lan was a little fragmented this time i still dont think there was a period during the whole weekend where i wasnt playing a lan game of sum description for longer than 15mins there was always something to play (usually dota!) lol

we did miss out on some of the big all in fps games such as ut2004, cod etc but i think this was mainly due to the numbers as there were so few players playing these games wouldnt be as much fun.

1942, i no this is a class game and everything but i think im kinda goin off it, the first time i came to a lan event its was THE game to play and i cant say at that time there was a better game i enjoyed but now with so many other games out there im finding id rather be playing something else like cs:s or cod battlefield 2 needs to come out quick to replace it in my opionion.

DOTA, what a great set of games we had in this! so many shouts from all round the lan of "RUN RUN" and "JUDAS U NUMPTY WHAT ARE U DOING!!!" lol
i personally play pretty average with a couple of good games every now and then, I even killed bluey a couple of times, WOW! although we did play to mach at this lan it didnt get borring at all, i think playing random heros was the reason y, if i had been the same one every time could ave got a bit borring.

CS:S im really starting to get into this game now its great! again alot of good games played! hats off to tuxx ur lanse map is quality!! ill be joining in on the lanse web server for lots of games of this!

thanks to sencerd for the avi splicing widget tis great used it LOADS already!

i found another power supply for the tft screen i brought along so ill bring it to the next lan hopefully we can get it up and running this time, i wonder where the other one went  :?: ah well no biggie!

all in all had a great time!! thanks to jason and kerr as ever for being marvelous hosts!
