Given that we never really have time to get them finished and the over head involved.

Please vice your opinions below.

I like the tournys, gives me a chance to play games i wouldn't usually play.

Perhaps we should reduce the number of games so we could get them finished.

How can you vote yes to keep them bisk when you didnt play in all the games in the tornie...

I voted no, because I might want to play 1942, COD but not BHD or Quake. Think it would be better to have some big all in games but just not group them in a tornie, or even group the teams. As long as you team ballance, let people pick their own.

So NO to tornie, but YES to several big games.

CS = has own comms
UT = has own comms
1942 + vietnam = has Fkey commands

other games = shouting :p

Comms are OK, but no way of telling if someone in the teamspeak chan is ment to be in there, could be a spy :p

I just think a general shout "1942 server is up for a big game, join now" will do better. and be easier to organise.

my thinking exactly dave, most people don't actually "use" coms anyway, i'd be worried if they did as 15 - 25 people all trying to get their word in would be unbearable!

It's a big help for the n00bs to a game as they can ask for help on the fly

I like the all-in games and the tourney was the only time that happened this weekend. so I voted yes.

lack of comms isn't a problem as long as groups of players are sitting together.

Because then you alienate all the people who havn't played it or don't like it etc, and you rope them into a game they don't want to play. Which isn't what the lan experience is about. Another idea is picking a game no-one plays or is an old classic, that way it's fair to most people by way of no-one knowing it or everyone knowing it.

suggestions?

How about a four team comp on something like the original Half Life, not one of the mods. Its old enough that most people know it. Its so old that people don't play it anymore. Its a GOOD game.

Seeing as how I don't play that many games except at LANs....

I enjoy the variety afforded by playing lots of different games, two teams then makes sense... either that or change teams for each game so that you have winenr in each game an everyone can benefit from different team mates each time (woe befalls the team that has me on it, for i am crap)...
