CS Source is superb, the graphics are awesome ,de_dust is actually dusty, When you walk in to the corridor and the light comes down through the cieling you see all the dust particles glowing and blowing around it is awesome. The weapon models are totally tits, they all look like actual weapons, seriously give it a try at the lan.

It sounds exactly the same as the old one. How origional of them, they've gone and created a game that has as high barriers to entry as the old CS.

Clever.

Control system exactly the same, maps exactly the same, not sure but are the physics exactly the same? Exactly the same people. I guess you'll say it's supposed to be like that but i was expecting a little innovation, something to put new life into the game, otherwise people will get as bored with it as they did last time, where you have the guys that are extremely good at it the guys who are extremely immature and all the others who just get fed up.

I'm not knocking half life 2, not seen it but have heard it's amazing. It's just that CS seems absolutely identical, just ramped up graphics. Maybe i've not looked at it enough, (extremely briefly) and my memories of the old game are somewhat vague and tarnished. The real test will be the weekend. I'm sure we'll be some of the first there Sush + Dave so you can 'Educate' me :)

it feels different, the physics are much better, the graphics are not just ramped up, they are an awesome leap from the first. The game even feels different, yes it's the same maps, but as certain things have been tweaked they play slightly different. It all has a pretty good feel about it. don't knock it till you've tried it is what I'm going to say.

Please do remember that in order for them to sell a lot of this game that they have to make it appeal to everyone, this includes the gimps that have been playing it for years, So make it familiar and improve it at the same time, I didnt see any of you complain when BFV came out.

Also never having played the game i'm looking quite forward to having a bash at it.

Can you buy this in the shops? I thought it was a d/l only. What do you have to pay for it and where du get it from. You don't need to own HL1 do you?

As you can see I know F**k all about this. Except for a demo I saw from one of the old CS levels I used to play and it looked superb.

According to something I read on the beeb the other day, there were some new game types that took advantage of the new physics engine.

Winning team get's a point by getting the barrel out of the bridge on the opponents side.

i thought you went bronze sush, as the man in the authopedic shoes said, "i stand corrected"

it mainly is just a new look, but the physics add something and the game feels different to the old one. Some people int he games I have been playing have said it is closer to quake3 now. Some have said it is harder, eiter way, it is more fun.

um, it is exactly the same, just with updated graphics and physics. CS2 is different, CS: source is just the same game we all know. That's why i'm not too pumped to play it. Sure it looks pretty and i'm sure it'd be fun from that respect, but I'm just so tired of CS, there's no chance of me buying it.
