Bloody good idea Odd.

I'm sure Kerr can knock up a "register your team here" widget on the intranet.

That way if "odd vs even" is borked, we can quickly switch to red v black. The jokers . . . .

I like the original idea coz that way Jason gets picked last :D

also, the chances that random teams will become unbalanced increases as the number of good players goes down...

maybe a two-tier system so that the good guys get spread out. Using cards: top players get given picture cards first, then the others get remaining cards.

I've got a much better idea - all you need is a big stick with a nail in the end of it.

You use that to beat Cosmo to death, then whatever teams you pick will be equal.

Trust me - it'll work :)

I presume we'd know who the good players were otherwise no point in segregating them. ie lanse and pk

Elitism isn't a bad thing... otherwise we'd all leave schools with 10 A's.

wait... they already do. my bad.

PK are too specialised (IE crap at anything appart from BHD based games)

Nah - pick the side you think is the best and put Falcon on it - they will get so frustrated with the shouting and kit flying around that they'll become distracted and lose.

After you've put the seating plan up try and cut it down the middle, i think teams always work better and there's more of an atmosphere if everyone around you is playing for the same team and you get to hollar accross the room at your foes :)

I still recon the card idea is the best

Blueys's idea is good for atmosphere, but i think it will result in unfair teams as lanse / pk / regulars / newbs all site in separate places

Remember not to spend too much time on this, Jason. stuff like this can eat up your fun. don't worry about making the teams perfectly balanced. just get them so games are not *incredibly* one sided and fun will be had by all

cosmo and sencerd usually sit on the other side of the room to the rest of lanse, plus falcon usually sits over with us, so were even :P

I get fed up with playing with people on the other side of the room if i wanted to do that i'd play online as that's what it feels like.

Plus you can pretty much tell what the teams will be like from the off as the seating plan doesn't change once it's been set.

Just something to look at as i think it'll get everyone more involved, and we may actally see some tactics
